Is there anything else you would like to share?
I enjoy every opportunity to share my story, my testimony. I was married to a man I adored and had two children, seems great? Then life hit. I was married in 1981 and he was in the service, after he got out we moved back to my home state of Texas around 1995. He began drinking and it slowly became worse and into drugs, and so the nightmare began. Years of this hurt not only myself, but my children as well. Life was filled with fear when he went into his rages whenever he needed a fix. I was losing my identity because living with an addict/alcoholic, everything is about their happiness and getting their fix no matter the cost. I was saved in 1998 and an overwhelming desire to write filled my heart. I started out writing poems and in the year of 2000 when my youngest son was killed ironically enough, I began writing my first book, called God’s Love. it was a journey of discovering more of what I needed, love and it was a healing process as well.
Since then I have written 13 adult books including a study guide to one of them and the poems I began writing. I have also written 7 children’s books; 6 are part of a series, two of these are published and the rest are in production.
I am in the process of writing another adult book called Deep Waters, a modern-day Jonah story.
I have done several speaking events and on the schedule for an event in Sept 2018 for Wellspring United Methodist Church in Georgetown TX.
I have been through abuse and the loss of my son, divorce and God has turned my life around to making a message out of my mess to help me discover my identity and purpose.
