Step into Your Destiny

(Joshua 3:15-17) “Now the Jordan is at flood stage all during harvest. Yet as soon as the priests who carried the ark reached the Jordan and their feet touched the water’s edge,  the water from upstream stopped flowing. It piled up in a heap a great distance away, at a town called Adam in the vicinity of Zarethan, while the water flowing down to the Sea of the Arabah (that is, the Dead Sea) was completely cut off. So the people crossed over opposite Jericho.  The priests who carried the ark of the covenant of the Lord stopped in the middle of the Jordan and stood on dry ground, while all Israel passed by until the whole nation had completed the crossing on dry ground.”

The Priests went first and stepped into the Jordan River which was at flood stage and overflowing and the waters stopped flowing.  Then the rest of Israel crossed over.  The Priests are a sign of spiritual authority just like us, we are royalty!  We are children of the Most High God and we need to step into our authority as the royal children we are, princes and princesses in Christ! (Romans 8:17) “Now if we are children, then we are heirs–heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in His sufferings in order that we may also share in His glory.”  As they stepped into the Jordan River in faith and walking in their authority the waters stopped up.  You have a flood of issues surrounding you and all that is needed is FAITH and your faith will deliver you.  (Mark 5:34) “Daughter, your faith has healed you. Go in peace and be freed from your suffering.”

F-faith and a reverential fear of God

A-act on that faith as if you had visible proof

I-in line—stay in line with the Word of God—know it and live it

T— “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding.”

H—His glory—remember it is for His glory in all that you do, and He says, “I will not give My glory to another or My praise to idols.”  It is in and for His glory that all men are saved and that He sent Jesus to die on the cross for OUR sins.  It is for His glory that we are saved, delivered and healed.  It is for His glory that He loves us unconditionally in spite of what we do but because of who we are HIS creation, His children.  So, in that He will always prove Himself faithful.  There is nothing to fear, nothing to doubt.  He promises victory in His Word and He is true to His word, “For You have exalted above all things Your Name and Your Word.”

When you step into your destiny as a child of God the people in your life will take notice and will follow you into victory, salvation, healing and wholeness in the Lord and all will give glory to Him who is our Savior and we receive and eternal glory, a home in heaven forever.  When Paul and Silas were in prison, (you may be surrounded by trouble and feel as if you are in prison), they did not fret but praised God instead and were delivered.  When you open your mouth in praise, peace and victory follow.  Satan will not stick around and praise God with you!   In seeing their faith and their deliverance the others around were delivered as well.  (Acts 16:25-30) “About midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the other prisoners were listening to them.  Suddenly there was such a violent earthquake that the foundations of the prison were shaken. At once all the prison doors flew open, and everyone’s chains came loose.  The jailer woke up, and when he saw the prison doors open, he drew his sword and was about to kill himself because he thought the prisoners had escaped.  But Paul shouted, “Don’t harm yourself! We are all here!”   The jailer called for lights, rushed in and fell trembling before Paul and Silas. He then brought them out and asked, “Sirs, what must I do to be saved?”

Your family and friends and those you know and who see you and your trials day in and day out will follow your lead and your faith as well when they see its effect.  Step into your destiny as a child of God.  Walk in the confidence of your royalty and heritage!  You are a child of the King of Kings, believe it and walk in it.

(Colossians 1:9-14) “We continually ask God to fill you with the knowledge of His will through all the wisdom and understanding that the Spirit gives,  so that you may live a life worthy of the Lord and please Him in every way: bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God,  being strengthened with all power according to His glorious might so that you may have great endurance and patience,  and giving joyful thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of His holy people in the kingdom of light.  For He has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son He loves,  in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.”
